Once we got to the Aiguille du Midi we visited the Panoramic Mont-Blanc ticket office and purchased our tickets (€32 per person). We then went straight to the gondola departure point. There were about 9 people ahead of us and it was 8.50am, perfect, not long to wait for the 9am start time.

We only have 1 day in Chamonix and I have read that its possible to do both Aiguille du Midi cable car and the train to Montevers and Mer de Glace in one day.
